was Kelly's response when we found out that we were being discharged this afternoon! It was hilarious - Pastor Scott Stevens and I lost it - and it will be a moment that I will never forget! Kel comes up with some good one liners - but "let's get those papers rollin" is one of her best...
So, after a great mid-morning to early afternoon of rest - the doctors decided to discharge Kelly and Jackson! Things are going/progressing well...her pain is under control - although she is still very sore and unable to really do a whole lot at this point. The next six weeks are going to be tough for her - especially as she is unable to care for Jordyn and Carter in the incredible way she normally does day in and day out! She is an awesome mommy - and tonight when her mom and dad [who by the way need our prayers as Grandma Backhoe - that's Kelly's mom - fell and broke both of her arms over the weekend!] brought the kids over to the farm, it was a very emotional reunion as Kelly was unable to pick up and cuddle with Jordyn and Carter like she always does! Gonna be rough and many tears may be shed...but we will get through this, and will be bringing in some reinforcements in the way of support! And it means that "daddy" needs and will step up his care of the most important people in my life - Mommy, Carter, Jordyn and Jackson!
And after an evening of playing outside together, making dinner, a quick four wheeler ride, two baths and bedtime routines this guy is exhausted! It has been a long and emotionally intense weekend, and since Jordyn, Carter and Kel are all sleeping...time for this guy to call it a day! I hope you had an awesome weekend and thank you again for all your prayers and encouragement to get us through this weekend! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us this week!
All Eyes on Jesus...
